Sous Chef Required

Established in 2019 Dorset based Electric Pubs has grown from a seed to operating 8 establishments. First came the Pymore Inn, Bridport in July 2019, then the Antelope, Hazelbury Bryan in October. The Elm Tree, near Weymouth was opened in August 2020 and the iconic Worlds End, Almer was added in 2021. We also have a vineyard, an orchard, a partnership with a local brewery, a cinema, an arts centre and a wine merchant Morrish and Banham.Our employees are the heart of what we do so we need passionate, enthusiastic, motivated and especially customer focused people to join our family. The Elm Tree Inn Langton Herring, Weymouth is looking for an experienced sous chef, or strong Chef De Partie looking to take their next step. Recently awarded in the Trenchermans & Taste of The West Gold & now aiming for AA rosettes we are looking to strengthen our team. The Elm Tree has a well know name for its creative, Innovative menus. We prepare everything from scratch and have a real shared passion for food, menus change monthly and our chefs have full autonomy on their menus with daily changing specials .

As our Sous Chef,

  • You must be a real team player with a positive attitude, the will to learn and be a real foodie!
  • You will be able to work some evenings and weekends with a degree of flexibility.
  • You will have the confidence and knowledge to work alongside our Head chef and Senior sous chef to create modern dishes and assist in the daily running of the kitchen, covering the senior /head chef in their absence
  • You must lead by example and have a real passion and confidence to help train the junior members of the team
  • You must be willing to learn about fresh, innovative dishes created using the finest locally sourced ingredientsand share the drive and passion that you have in our team to ensure our overall goal of being famous for delicious food
  • You must always have a positive can-do attitude to your work and colleagues and be flexible to run and work on any station within the kitchen
  • You will be calm under pressure and show your passion and commitment to your team
  • You should have 3 years industry experience ideally.
