We are looking for individuals to join our team at Kirkmichael Primary School and work in our early years class supporting an individual child with their development.

You will be required to:

  • Communicate effectively to build relationships with staff and pupils to ensure a quality care provision.
  • Organisational skills and initiative.
  • Ability to understand and have an awareness of the wellbeing and individual needs of pupils.
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage a range of appropriate activities and resources to meet pupil needs and to improve outcomes.
  • Ability to identify and manage potential risks to self and others, by applying existing guidelines, seek advice when required.
  • Ability to observe, record and share pupils changing needs, ensuring information is up to date.
  • Basic Digital skills to operate and maintain relevant systems and equipment necessary for completing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to co-operate and comply with the Council’s health and safety policy and arrangements.

The Individual

We are looking for enthusiastic people with good interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work flexibly alongside our early years team.

A key element of this role will be to provide nurture and support to the pupil you will be working with.

You will be given direction and support from the infant teacher in helping the pupil with their learning and development.

You will require enthusiasm and positivity.
