Support Worker

£12.00 per hour

About me:

A happy young person with Autism who enjoys going out and about, parks, bike rides, scooter, transport, supermarkets, cafés.

Hours and Rate of Pay:

6 hours a week (1 day) over the school summer holidays.

£12 ph

An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.

What you would be doing:

You will spend time with the family initially getting to know each other.

Once everyone is comfortable you will be supporting in the community, helping to boost confidence in social situations and improve their skills especially with regard to waiting in queues, road safety, using public transport and paying for things in shops and promoting general communication skills and understanding. Trying new things.

The person I would like:

You will have some understanding/experience of Autism and enjoy the outdoors.

You will be kind, empathetic, friendly, fun, playful and cheerful but most of all patient.

Someone who is happy and willing to be in interactive, you will be encouraging in order to improve and develop skills. You must have excellent spoken English as there are some communications difficulties
