Trafford Leisure is looking for an outstanding person to join our team, in the role of Active Living Manager. We promise a challenging but rewarding role within a Community Interest Company (CIC) that would be adding real value to the Trafford and wider Greater Manchester residents.
As the business recovers from COVID and we look forward to the future Trafford Leisure has a lot to be excited about. Alongside our recent £7million development of Urmston (Fitness & Wellbeing in Trafford, Greater Manchester (twmove.co.uk) which opened last year, Trafford Council will be continuing their investment plan into indoor Leisure in Trafford. Altrincham, Sale and Stretford’s Leisure Centre’s will be refurbished turning these busy but tired facilities into modern, inspiring, fit for purpose Centre’s under the continued roll out of Trafford Leisure’s new brand .
The new brand , which embodies our purpose and will ultimately help us achieve our Vision of making Trafford the most active place in England, can now be seen and experienced at Urmston for the first time and we look forward to rolling these positive changes to the rest of the Trafford Leisure estate.

The role:
The Active Living Manager role will support Trafford Leisure’s vision to become the most active place in England.
You will work closely with people referred from health and social care professionals to bring out their potential to make movement a normal everyday behaviour and engage in appropriate leisure and community based physical activity provision.
Do you have a passion for improving people’s health and wellbeing, an understanding of long-term health conditions and excellent interpersonal skills? Then this could be role for you!
We are looking for someone with experience of working within an exercise or health related field to working in partnership with a variety of referral organisations to help reduce health inequalities in Trafford through appropriate physical activity.
Location:
You will be expected to work from various sites across Trafford although we are happy to work flexibly with you.
