Our cleaners play a vital role in keeping the Arriva Rail London/ London Overground fleet clean and presentable at all times, which is essential for our trains to run smoothly.

We are searching for a Traincare professional who lives within a commutable distance to our London Stations and is happy with working through the night. Ideally this person will have experience cleaning in a rail setting, as well as management experience.

Within this role, you will be undertaking supervisory assistant duties which are practical to the role and location of work.

Supervision of all out based cleaning activities and arrangements for sites, whilst also assisting the traincare team when necessary.

Monitorisations of performance levels of staff will also be your responsibility within this role, ensuring that all work is in line with company quality standard, reporting directly to the Traincare Level 4 supervisors.

Ensuring safe and on-time train dispatch for ARL train services when required, subject to appropriate training.

You will also assist in ensuring continuous development of train cleaning standards, materials, practices and principles in line with the statutory and safety standards.

Undertaking on board cleaning tasks, turnaround cleaning within a customer focussed environment when needed.

Customer orientated professional who has an understanding how vital the traincare team is for the London Overground.

Any past cleaning and maintenance experience, ideally cleaning for vehicles but not essential.

Experience in working as part of a team, ideally someone who has managed individuals in the past.

Communication skills both written and verbal.

Someone who is safety concious in the workplace, who ideally has knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements including COSHH (Controle of Substances Hazardous to Health) - desirable not essential.
