We are searching for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to come and lead our Endoscopy Unit on a permanent basis. As the Unit Manager you would have responsibility for the Endoscopy Department providing the highest levels of managerial and clinical leadership to the nursing team and support staff and complying with the JAG accreditation.
All of our consultants and clinical nurse specialists perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is also performed. Therapeutic procedures include oesophageal and pancreatobiliary stent placement and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) placement. Our consultant lead runs the bowel cancer screening service.
The post holder will be expected to support the on-call service and be part of the clinical numbers when needed (2-3 times per month) but you will not be expected to work nights/weekends or bank holidays as part of your standard week.
