Team: Fleet Service

Locations: Bamber Bridge near Preston, Burnley (Hapton N65), and mobile working (nominal base Burnley N65)

OTE £40.500 (based on working 45 hours per week and including tool and standby allowances)

Basic Salary of Grade 7 is based on a 37 hour week, all time above 37 hours is paid as overtime at enhanced rates plus a tool allowance and standby payments (Starting salary within the grade will be discussed at interview depending on skills and experience; basic G7 salary is up to £32,020 (basic rate up to £16.60 ph).

Vehicle & Plant Technicians to work within the Fleet Service within Lancashire County Council.

We are looking for technicians to work either from our Burnley N65 or Bamber Bridge workshops or in a mobile capacity.

We are especially keen to talk to people with a minimum of 5 years recent experience in the repair and maintenance in one or more of the following areas:

• Auto Electrical (mobile position)*
• Large Goods Vehicle Maintenance (Bamber Bridge)
• Highway Winter Maintenance Equipment (mobile position)*
• Heavy Mobile Plant (mobile position)*
• Light and Handheld Plant (Bamber Bridge)
• Blue Light Fire and Rescue Service Vehicles (Bamber Bridge)*

* For these posts a van with tools will be provided.

Paid Annual Leave of 26 days rising after five years to 32 days plus bank holidays and 2 additional days at Christmas, and staff have the option to purchase additional leave entitlement if necessary. A workplace pension is included.
