We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and diverse team at Walton Lodge.
 
 Your typical week would include mornings and afternoons made up of consultations. After consultations, the rest of your day will be spent liaising with the inpatients and the owners regarding further work ups required or you will be on theatre duties and will complete the ops booked in for that day.
 
 We are happy to consider part time application for this role.
 
 This role will be based at our Ware hospital with work in one of the satellite branches – Hoddesdon, Harlow, Stevenage or Bishops Stortford.

The salary for this role is up to £67,000 depending on experience.

Walton Lodge has six surgeries which are situated in Bengeo, Bishop's Stortford, Harlow, Hoddesdon, Stevenage, and Ware. Walton Lodge is made up of a team of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 11 Receptionists. Helen Lee is the senior Veterinary Surgeon at Walton Lodge and Helen qualified from Bristol University in 1984 and has worked in Hertfordshire since 1985 as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon. Our team of experienced and very capable Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses aim to provide the highest quality of care for our client’s pets. CPD is highly encouraged, for example, one of our vets in doing a laparoscopic course with the RVC shortly and once of our RVN is doing a certificate in nursing.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with great client communication skills, a good team ethic and able to make decisions, delegate and prioritise. We would Ideally like to have someone with an interest in surgery and orthopaedics, but this is not essential.
