Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Ward Clerk on Wellington Ward.

We are a productive, acute 20 bedded Ward that specialises in Acute Gastroenterology.

The Patients we treat on the ward have a variety of complex medical conditions majority of which are gastroenterology etiologic that includes Alcoholic detoxification program, Acute eating disorders, Irritable bowel disorder , Oesophageal- gastric-bowel cancers , Diarrhoea related to Chron's or Colitis and Acute Liver Disease.

Our Ward is also the cohort in the Trust for looking after C Difficile Patients.

Main responsibilities will include welcoming patients and relatives to the ward, answering telephone enquiries and liaising with the MDT.

Updating Nervecentre and PAS and making follow ups appointments where appropriate.

Requesting and filing of patients notes.

You will need to deal with challenges, perform under pressure and be able to prioritise work. The ideal candidate will be computer literate & flexible and good customer service skills are essential.

Knowledge of PAS, Nervecentre, Esearcher, Evolve and IFIT desirable but training will be provided.
