What you’ll be doing

The role of the Key Account Manager, working closely with the Key Account Director and the rest of team, is to maximise the sales and profitability of HUK titles through the UK discount sector.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for named discount accounts (e.g. ALDI, LIDL, TK Maxx, TJ Morris, B&M Bargains).

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Representing all Group publishers’ lists: namely Hachette Children’s Group, Hodder & Stoughton, Headline, Quercus, Orion, Little Brown Book Group, Hodder Education and JMP, Paperblanks, Hachette Book Group
  • Responsible for project managing print runs from conception through to invoicing
  • Be an imprint lead for Non-Trade for specific imprints including a focus on Octopus Books, working closely with their Commercial Director and Sales Director.
  • Working closely with divisions, to ensure all special sales meet specific author and brand sales development strategies

Having had similar roles within publishing, retail and similar industries would prove particularly advantageous.
