Accounts Assistant who has good numeracy skills, a positive and proactive mindset and the ability to process high volumes of data is required for a well-established company based in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire.
Experience in a similar finance or accounting role is preferable, but not essential as training will be given
SALARY: £21,000 - £25,000 pro rata + Excellent Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Hybrid flexible – the company expects you to work at least 3 days per week from the office in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire and the remaining time can be worked from home.
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
WORKING HOURS: minimum 22.5 - 30 hours per week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who has good numeracy skills, a positive and proactive mindset and the ability to process high volumes of data.
Working as an Accounts Assistant you will work within the finance department supporting the Finance Manager.
As the Accounts Assistant you will be a key part of a team that delivers a high standard of accounts with all accounting functions being performed efficiently and accurately, on a timely basis.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Accounts Assistant will include:
Accounts payable invoice entry and payment
Accounts receivable approval and creation of some sales invoices & refunds
Bank reconciliations
Assisting with customers finance queries from Customer Service
Assisting with month end tasks e.g., accrual preparation and income recognition
Providing cover and support to the other members of the finance team
Responsibility for the finance team email inbox
Report and manage KPIs on a weekly basis
Ad hoc tasks to aid the continuous improvement within the team
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential skills and experience
Good numeracy skills
A team player, helpful, positive and proactive
Ability to work under own initiative and manage workload appropriately to meet tight deadlines
High level of attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of data
Desirable skills and experience
Experience in a similar role is preferable, but training will be given
Accounting software experience (in particular: Xero)
Microsoft Teams & Sharepoint/Office 365 experience
AAT Level 2 or similar qualification
