Administrative Officer
Location: York - Hybrid after training
Hourly rate: £12.64.
This role is open to UK National`s only - a valid UK Passport or Birth Certificate will be needed.
You must be able to commit to a mandatory 2 week training programme - no annual leave can be taken throughout this period.
Brook Street in partnership with the UK Security Vetting has a fantastic opportunity to join their existing team of Administration Officers in York. You will be providing appropriate support, working within the case working teams, managing basic administration tasks, answering emails, requesting information and liaising with other departments and stakeholders.

UK Security Vetting are recruiting Admin Officers to contribute to the efficient administration , this includes:
" Working as part of a team responsible for delivering a full review of vetting applications; including confirming identity and checking information provided.
" Responding to enquiries and seeking further information from vetting subjects, sponsors and others in the vetting community. This may be via email or telephone.
" Sensitively and securely handling customer information. Attention to detail and discretion are essential as vetting confidentiality is paramount in safeguarding the personal information being processed.
" Providing a quality service, understanding the end-to-end vetting process and appreciating where your role fits into this to identify the right actions and interventions to best support applications and colleagues.
Personal Specification
As an Admin Officer within UK Security Vetting we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes:
" Strong sense of personal ethics and integrity
" Excellent attention to detail
" The capacity to work either independently or as a team member
" Able to handle customer information sensitively and securely
" Good IT skills, including a knowledge of Microsoft Office products (such as Word and Outlook)
" Good communication skills; able to articulate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
" The ability to deliver a consistent and high-quality customer-focused service to relevant stakeholders via both administration and telephony
" The ability to make impartial and well-considered judgements
" The ability to deliver at pace and work towards targets, whilst not compromising on quality
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security clearance needed is Security Check. Candidates will be subject to UK immigration requirements as well as Civil Service nationality rules.
