Your role: We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist 1 to join our Clearance Services team in Stirling. In this role, you are responsible for the performance of custom GLP studies and maintain housekeeping, equipment maintenance and stock control to ensure the running of the laboratories. You will work within the laboratory following Standard Operating Procedures and compliance regulations to ensure routine and custom studies are completed on time and accurately recorded to meet appropriate scientific and GLP regulatory standards. This role will appeal to those who are eager to learn a new field and progress their career in a fast paced and rapidly growing team.

Who you are:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or associated Biological Science field, with proficient scientific laboratory experience preferred but not crucial or recent graduates.
  • Knowledge / experience in cell culture, reagents preparation, ELISA and cell based assays would be adventurous.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and work within a fast-paced environment, with a strong problem-solving ability
  • Computer literate, ideally with prior knowledge of working with LIMS
  • You will ideally have prior knowledge and experience working to GLP and / or GMP in a similar working environment (not essential)
  • You are strongly passionate about quality and safety, with excellent planning
  • You will be naturally self-motivated with strong initiative and drive
  • You will have good communication skills, with proficient written and spoken English.
