Job Description

Hours: 9.30am - 3.30pm. 3 days a week, flexible working days but inclusive of some weekend working. Minimum of 2 per month.

Job Role:

Hours: 12-18 hours a week 9.30am til 3.30pm

Flexible 2-3 Days a week but inclusive of some weekend working (minimum of 2 weekends per month)

Daily running of the cafe & kitchen to include:

  • Setting up of the cafe & kitchen for opening in line with the daily opening checklist
  • Preparing food ready for the day in line with the prep list
  • Preparing/cooking/serving food & drinks for customers including hot & cold beverages, cakes, pastries, baguettes, toasted sandwiches, sandwiches, cooked breakfasts & light lunches
  • Delivering food to customers, clearing tables/washing up
  • Responsibility for checking stock daily and ordering internally
  • Cleaning the cafe & kitchen area in line with the daily closing procedures and participating in the deep cleaning schedule which is completed weekly
  • Responsibility for filling in daily checklists for for the cafe & kitchen and maintaining high levels of food safety including keeping temperature records, date labelling of prepared foods and stock rotation.
  • Any other duties as required by the business for smooth operation of daily running from time to time.
  • Kitchen experience is highly desirable and the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
  • An interest in baking or an interest in learning to bake would be beneficial as we bake our own cakes and breads and pastries on site.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18 per week

Salary: From £10.42 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dover: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
  • customer service: 1 year (preferred)
