Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Brand Manager to join The Famous Grouse Brand team in Glasgow. The Famous Grouse has a wonderful heritage, and it has been the UK's favourite whisky for almost 4 decades. It also holds the No.1 position across 6 international markets and has a geographical footprint across 111 markets. The Brand Manager role will be focussed on developing and executing the PR and partnerships strategy for the brand, and also for the development of value adding packaging and personalisation with a clear focus on sustainability.
Job Description
Reporting to the Global Brand Director, key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Lead the PR and partnership strategy and execution for The Famous Grouse; ensuring all activations are effective in delivering against the brand’s objectives of recruitment and premiumisation and builds on the brand’s communication platform.
  • Manage digital strategy and comms development for both PR amplification and partnerships programme.
  • Manage the evolution and implementation of value-added packaging for The Famous Grouse ensuring everything ladders back to the brands and Edrington’s sustainability goals, includes collaboration with markets, agencies and the supply team.
  • Develop strong relationships with markets to support the building and execution of successful plans, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Set meaningful KPIs and analyse the use of, and return on investment of, in-market assets.
  • Ensure best practice deployment, as well as developing a mindset of continual improvement.
  • Manage allocated A&P investment for maximum return on investment
  • Contribute to the annual growth planning process by collaborating with markets to ensure alignment and identify the best levers to deliver performance both in the short and long term.
  • Support wider team on all key priority workstreams including communication, market engagement, innovation and packaging
Skills and Experience
To take on the challenge of this role you will be educated to degree level or have experience commensurate with this level of role, ideally with previous experience of working in a consumer marketing environment. You will have good project management skills and be able to manage several workstreams and projects simultaneously. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships with diverse teams spread across geographies and functions. You will display strength in decision making, be willing to make recommendations and take accountability.
