We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Shopify Developer to join one of our E-commerce clients for a 3 month contract, with high possibility of extensions or temp/perm placement. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital transformation projects for their online retail businesses, working closely with their Development team to ensure high quality delivery.

You will be confident in being able to make recommendations and suggestions to the Head of Development to influence the technical direction of projects, focusing on the user experience.

This is a remote working position with a 100% remote setup, but candidates must be based in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions for digital transformation projects on the Shopify platform.
• Develop and customise Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid (beneficial but not essential).
• Integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance the functionality of Shopify stores.
• Optimise websites for performance, usability, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Shopify development.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Shopify development and ecommerce.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Shopify platform and its APIs.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end development.
• Familiarity with Shopify Liquid is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in developing and customising Shopify themes.
• Knowledge of web standards, performance optimization, and SEO.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
