A Electronics Lead Engineer is required within an Advanced Aerospace and Defence Services Organisation. The Electronics Lead Engineer will be an experienced electronics design engineer and the Electronics Lead Engineer will work delivering complex electronic based solutions for electro-mechanical products, projects, and services to the world's leading Aerospace & Defence companies. The Electronics Lead Engineer will join a dynamic multi discipline team developing electro-mechanical based systems for Aerospace and Defence platforms.

The Electronics Lead Engineer you will be required to:

• Leading the delivery of electronic hardware solutions
• Work with safety critical and high integrity aerospace and defence systems
• Lead a team to produce work products within the industry
• Compliance with the Aerospace and Defence Standards
• Conduct design reviews, both giving and receiving feedback
• Performing FMEA's (for some form of safety critical systems)
• Work to AS9100 or ISO9001 QMS

The Electronics Lead Engineer Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Ideally degree qualified, in a related discipline
• Ideally a registered Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
• Comfortable with defining and/or working with detailed hardware requirements
• Competent at schematic entry and architecture definition
• A proven track record of engineering problem solving
• Systematic and methodical approach that is Conscientious
• Thrives in an empowered culture
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and Team player
• Initiated process improvement and change management
• Experience with at least one of Altium, LTSpice, Git, Jira & Confluence
• Proven experience of taking electronic products for safety critical and/or high integrity systems into commercial production.
• Experience within regulated industries such as aerospace, space, automotive, rail or nuclear.
• Knowledge of Motor drives, Analogue sensor interfaces, SMPS design
• Knowledge of Failure protection circuits
• DFM - strong understanding of PCB manufacturing
• DFT - experience of EMC and harsh environmental testing
