Introduction

Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their growing team of Human Factors specialists within the Defence Sector, with options to work across other industries including Critical National Infrastructure.

Our client provides expertise to enhance human performance within high hazard industry creating safe, effective and efficient systems.

You will be based in a local office (UK wide) but then expected to travel to client sites monthly, the rest of the work can be done remotely or in a local office.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide Human Factors support to Engineering designs.
  • Responsibility for quality technical delivery, as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Support the writing of bids and contributing to innovation/knowledge sharing across their HF community.
  • Applying HF techniques: tasks analysis, error analysis, design assessment, human performance measurement etc.
  • Working with clients to apply HF integration and processes/standards to their projects.
  • Apply human reliability assessment methods Eg. Error Analysis, HEART, THERP.
Skills & experience
  • Good knowledge and experience of applying: task analysis, error analysis, design assessment, Human Machine Interface assessment, qualitative and quantitative data gathering techniques and analysis, procedural analysis, human performance measurement, workstation and operations room design.
  • Demonstrable experience of applying HF Integration and processes, standards and techniques to engineering projects.
  • CIEHF Registered Member status or equivalent.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Human Factors UK and international standards/guidance and their application.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and client facing skills.
