Job Description Summary

This role will be based in the UK and can be operated remotely within the UK, with some travel required. You must be SC Cleared or be able to achieve SC clearance in order to perform this role.

To fulfill scope you need to have Oracle R12 functional (or 12.2.x Oracle) expertise for Finance modules in order to be considered. Oracle modules responsibilities could include: Fixed Assets, Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Cash Management etc.

You will be responsible for operating in lock-step with other ERP and Pillar product management teams to create a clear strategic direction for Finance ERP spaces. Translate this strategy into effective business process, configuration and development needs and convey that vision to the build and/or operations team. You will be part of Oracle implementation team for new GE Aerospace businesses where you will partner with business stakeholders to understand Oracle requirements / changes in business processes that will target to Oracle enhancements etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Help with implementation of 2 Operating Unit under Aerospace ERP.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products.
  • Shows increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
  • Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.
  • Demonstrates ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing.
  • Collaborates with PM for the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases.
  • Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.
  • Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.
  • Collaborates with other Product owners/TPMs to decompose features into consumable user stories.
  • Engages frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
  • Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit.
  • Partners with Application support teams/ Development teams/ to ensure healthy development process.
  • Applies Agile Methodology.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in with advanced experience.
  • Professional experience in Oracle R12 implementation (12.2 preferred) or support of Oracle R12
  • Strong Oracle functional expertise for Oracle ERP Finance modules is essential (Fixed Assets, Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Cash Management etc.)
  • UK Based (Remote working within the UK)
  • SC Cleared or be able to achieve SC clearance in order to perform this role

Desired Characteristics / Technical Expertise:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Product Owner
  • Experience working for Aerospace/Aviation industry, Supply Chain industry, Automotive etc.
  • Knowledge of Oracle table structures and SQL skills are preferred

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
  • Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
  • Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the scrum team. Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment
  • Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to help make buy vs build recommendations, scope MVPs, and to drive market timing decision
