  Role Description: 
 
 
  Reporting to the Information Management Lead, your primary role will be to oversee and coordinate the management of digital information on projects. This will include setting the strategy for project information management and ensuring best practice in the application of BIM, GIS, System Engineering, Survey and Document Control on projects. You will interface with design managers, clients and digital leads to ensure that all teams are using and producing the correct information and that the requirements for all digital deliverables are met. You will provide supervision and direction to project BIM, GIS, System Engineering and Document Control teams. 
  Role accountabilities: 
  
   - Provide strategic advice and guidance on the implementation of BIM to support projects 
- Promote the use of BIM, GIS and System Engineering throughout the project. 
- Lead on project BIM Strategy, BIM Execution Plan, Employers Information Requirements, Survey Specifications and project procedures to deliver outputs 
- Support on scope of services for other BIM disciplines including GIS and System Engineering 
- Establish and manage a Common Data Environment that meets the needs of a multi-software platform digital engineering delivery environment that includes BIM, GIS, System Engineering, Survey and Document Control 
- Develop and implement the Project Information Plan which includes processes for ensuring compliance with Contract requirements. 
- Developing information strategies with clients and then documenting, implementing and managing these through the project to deliver the requisite asset information at project completion. 
- Capture key project metrics for knowledge management and benchmarking purposes. 
Qualifications and Experience: 
  
   - A Bachelor or Master’s degree in an Engineering related discipline, or equivalent experience 
- Knowledge of the most important specifications and descriptions of BIM and GIS and their application to engineering design projects. 
- Knowledge of the Bentley Microstation and Aecosim, Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D, ESRI ArcGIS and FME. 
- Project management skills, particularly in relation to engineering design digital deliverables 
- Awareness of System Engineering and its role in efficient civil engineering design 
- Experience of leading a team to deliver on projects
