We are seeking to appoint a Leisure Assistant to join our highly successful Sports and Leisure Team asap.

Allestree Woodlands School is a popular and successful 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1350 students (200+ in the sixth form). The school is situated on the northern edge of the city of Derby in a very pleasant setting overlooking the Kedleston Hall National Trust estate. We work as a great team together and are committed to the continuing professional development of all colleagues.

You will work as part of Allestree Woodlands School Leisure team ensuring the safety of our pupils and customers by providing first class lifeguard support. Preparing activity areas and equipment to meet the needs of the schools and external booking program. You will also be responsible for reporting any maintenance on sports equipment and pool plant operations and having responsibilities for the health and safety of the Leisure Facilities, staff and customers.
You will have previous experience of working in leisure (with relevant health and safety qualifications such as NPLQ) what’s most important is your passion and drive for the leisure facilities within the school and creating the best experience possible for our pupils and customers. Be self-motivated and organised with a willingness to work evenings and weekends to support external bookings.

You will work 32.5 hours a week, 52 weeks a year and be part of a 3 weekly rota working days, evenings and weekends.
