Location: Tynecastle Park Stadium & Myreside Pavilion

Salary: Competitive salary (DOE) plus excellent staff benefits.

Hours: Full-time, (46 hours per week, 5/7 days per week)

Heart of Midlothian is a Scottish Premiership Football Club and an Edinburgh institution. However, it is more than just a Football Club. The Club have a proud heritage dating back to 1874. The remarkable transformation of facilities within the Club’s redeveloped stadium has changed the landscape of conferences and events in Edinburgh and has put Tynecastle Park Stadium firmly on the map as the venue of choice for major conferences, exhibitions, and formal dinners as well as private events, weddings, Christmas parties and smaller family occasions. The Skyline Restaurant has most recently been recognized by TripAdvisor as a 2022 Travelers’ Choice.

In the last year, the Club has also established its highly successful restaurant The Skyline. This 100-cover restaurant has become a key part of the business and continues to flourish. Currently the Skyline Restaurant, The Executive Lounge, SupportersBar facilities and Myreside Pavilion have received excellent reviews from guests whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service.

The successful candidate will assist in the general day to day running of the kitchens at Tynecastle as well as Myreside Pavilion as per the needs of the business to produce excellent quality of food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly for the Executive Head Chef or supervision of the Sous Chef’s in the general day to day running of the kitchen operations across multiple sites in Edinburgh.
  • Work closely with the Senior Chefs to produce a high standard of food in a large catering operation on match-days,conferences and events and the Skyline restaurant.
  • Contribute to the delivery of an outstanding high-end hospitality offering for our hospitality suites, conferences, events, and restaurant.
  • Always adhere to food hygiene regulations and HACCP compliance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in restaurant/ fine dining or similar role in event catering.
  • Possess the relevant Elementary Food Hygiene qualification and experience of working a HACCP system would be desirable however training will be given.
  • Be passionate about food and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent customer service through your quality of food.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Evidence Legal Right to Work in the UK.
  • Be mobile to work across 2 sites in Edinburgh.
  • Above all, demonstrate a strong team work ethic with a can-do attitude, proven professionalism, and excellent timekeeping.
