After the rapid growth of DCC over the last 8 years, the internal processes and have failed to keep pace with the increasing demands of the organisation.

To strengthen DCC and ensure it is fit for the future, the Business Accuracy Programme is transforming the way DCC operates.

This will lead to simpler and leaner governance, better and more accurate forecasting, robust systems, processes and reporting, which will deliver greater control and certainty of delivery for our customers.

To successfully deliver the Programme we are reengineering complex internal processes which span the Finance, Commercial and Portfolio areas of the business.As an experienced process design professional, you should be well versed in process methodology (eg Lean) and tools (including MS Visio and SharePoint) used to working in complex environment,

able to rapidly get up to speed, operate within challenging deadlines and work with multiple stakeholders. Experience in Finance or Commercial processes would be an asset but is not essential.

This role will lead a small team of process design engineers who are developing the processes.

This role will include leading the team, assuring the quality of outputs, and - critically - providing validation of the end-to-end solution.

The role will work closely with leads within the programme and the wider organisation to capture the future vision, leading the development and documentation of the processes (from a system, data and manual perspective), ensuring they deliver greater efficiencies and controls for the business.You may be required to facilitate design workshops, proactively seek out information to enable the process generation, work to deadlines and have a keen eye for detail.

You will ensure any activities undertaken by the team are delivered to a high standard in a timely way.You will provide assurance the processes are as efficient as possible and drive activities to test the end-to-end journey is robust.

You will facilitate the review and approval of processes by stakeholders.The processes represent a significant change in the way DCC operates from today.

Inputting to the ‘change journey’ to ensure processes are delivered and adopted will be critical.This role will suit a process professional with experience of leading a small process development team and assuring the delivery of a robust end-to-end solution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Defining agreed quality standards for the processes – in line with DCC standards – and providing assurance.
  • Robustly reviewing / testing outputs to ensure end-to-end solution hangs together.
  • Building successful and trusted relationships with Stakeholders to review processes and drive approval.
  • Ensuring processes are version controlled and stored correctly once approved.
  • Support business process workshops to develop end-to-end cross functional business processes, including inputs and outputs for the process.
  • Support the production of the processes to agreed standards as needed  Support organisational events as required to drive business adoption and ensure our people embrace the change.
  • 5 + years experience in leading process design engineering, with experience of Finance and Commercial processes desired Leadership experience of process design engineering resources.
  • Proven experience and use of process methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma etc) and associated tools (MS Visio and SharePoint).
  • Key eye for detail, ability to quality assure work to agreed standards and review the end-to-end solution is robust.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a multi disciplined team with multiple parties involved.
  • The ability to proactively build relationships and build trust from stakeholders.
