Quality Engineer

Cheltenham

Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 08:00-16:30 (or 07:30-16:00)
Friday: 08:00-15:00 (or 07:30-14:30)

Salary:
£37,000 p/annum

Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will support product quality manager to help with the continuous improvement
activities. Other responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with production, engineering and operations teams to resolve
• product quality issues
• Ensuring assembly processes are working to specifications.
• Identify root causes of failures and issues and the action to address them through the
• NCR and CAPA processes in a timely manner
• Monitoring and performing Internal calibrations
• Inspecting and testing of products to ensure quality specifications are met
• Any other task required to support quality department in seamless operation
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in diagnostic testing and repair of electronic equipment to component level
• Familiar with IPC standards (Class II & III)
• Knowledge of QMS such as ISO 9001, ISO13485
• Must have previous experience in dealing with non-conforming products and producing
• NCRs.
• Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Experience with Aberlink CMMs or similar would be advantage
• Ability to work independently and in teams with minimum supervision
• Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis and devise suitable preventive action plans
• Proficient in use of the problem solving tools such as 8D, CAPA, 5Why,
• Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills
