Job Description

Due to increase in work the position of a Quantity Surveyor has become available to join our growing Commercial Team in the United Utilities Framework based in Aviator Way, Manchester

United Utilities have awarded Costain a new Managed Service Provider (MSP) framework contract. Under the contract Costain provide the overall management and delivery of United Utilities’ larger-scale water and wastewater asset maintenance activities across the entirety of its network, including 96 water treatment and 575 wastewater treatment sites, which serves over six million people in the Northwest of England.

Work location is hybrid arrangement 2 days in the office 3 from home.

Role Requirements

  • Post-graduate commercial experience in the construction industry with demonstrable track record of achievement (essential)
  • Preparing monthly progress valuations and claims for work completed within deadlines
  • Producing monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Budget reports
  • Management and agreement of Compensation Events and Change on the projects
  • Providing support to Commercial Manager and liaising with Customer’s Commercial Team
  • Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
  • Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
  • Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
