About the Company: A reputable construction firm specializing in delivering high-quality utility projects across the UK. With a proven track record of success and a strong portfolio of clients, we have secured a 4-year contract with the potential for a 3-year extension. The project's value ranges from £25 million to £30 million.
This role is a high-volume low value role.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a strong working relationship, ensuring their satisfaction as a demanding client.
Effectively handle any commercial issues that may arise, including disputes and negotiations.
Oversee the successful delivery of high-volume, low-value jobs within the utilities contract.
Collaborate with internal teams, including quantity surveyors, to ensure accurate cost control and project profitability.
Utilities background is a must and expertise to drive project efficiency and mitigate risks.
Monitor project finances, budgets, and forecasts, providing regular reports to senior management.
Actively contribute to the development and implementation of effective commercial strategies.
Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices, recommending improvements to optimize project outcomes.
Lead a team of professionals, providing mentorship and support to foster their growth and development.
Requirements:
Strong track record of managing client relationships, particularly with challenging clients.
Excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
Thorough understanding of commercial and financial aspects of construction projects.
Previous experience in handling high-volume, low-value projects is advantageous.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Understanding of the OHH offering and an ability to adapt to this whilst enhancing the offering in time with ideas and experience. Must be able to drive.
