Leonardo CS3 is looking to recruit a Senior Project Planner to provide a professional project planning service to one of the multidisciplinary Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
Under the direction and guidance of the Project Office Manager / Lead Planner, the Senior Project Planner is responsible for planning either a group of related projects (similar products) or a large programme.
They are the planning professional within the integrated project team and will have detailed knowledge of project management tools and processes.
They will work closely with the IPT Work Package Managers and Project Managers to produce and maintain fully resourced multi-level project schedules.
The Senior Project Planner will provide mentoring and supervisory support to planning team members as required within the relevant business area.

- Maintaining the accuracy of project plans, ensuring that they reflect the project objectives, are updated in a timely manner and communicated to all IPT members.
- Working for and as part of the IPT to identify, interrogate, analyse and control schedule, resource, and cost variance.
- Provide advice and assistance on all planning matters.
- Ensure plans are integrated into overall Programme requirement, with dependencies identified through scenario planning.
- Prepare & analyse data required to support the Project Manager in performance measurement reviews (PPRP, Earned Value, and Critical Path).
- Effective resource planning, management, and analysis in conjunction with the IPT
- Contribute to the bid planning process
- Creation, analysis and maintenance of risk management information (as required), ensuring labour and material contingencies are correctly apportioned.

- A competent project planner, with a proven track record
- Knowledgeable and experienced in project planning techniques including Earned Value Management, Critical Path Analysis and Network Planning
- Proactive involvement with IPT and Project Managers, with the ability to provide analysis and advice on project schedule, resource, and cost.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good organisational skills, proven through ability to plan and prioritise
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good personal, Interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Innovative/Creative Personal presence and credibility
- Good Understand of Lifecycle Management/Product Life cycle and Business Winning Process
- Good understanding of Risk Management
- Good all-round computer literacy, including SAP, P6 & Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and Procurement environments.
