Mon-Fri 9am to 1pm Will be working with elderly client so DBS is required.

Scheme Manager – Part Time

Welwyn Garden City

£12,308 - £12,690 per year

20 hours per week (4 hours per day Monday to Friday ideally)

We are looking for a Scheme Manager to join our Housing team which consists of 5 Housing Officers and 4 Scheme Managers. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the scheme ensuring there are no risks to the residents or assets in the scheme. The role offers an onsite presence and encourages residents who are either elderly or vulnerable to live as independently as possible. We are looking for a successful candidate who is organised and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The role of Scheme Manager will include:

  • Completing compliance testing including fire alarm checks, pull cord checks and water temp checks.
  • Ensure communal areas are kept in good repair by reporting any repairs or potential hazards and ensuring that the work is completed.
  • Completing weekly wellbeing calls to residents who require this service at the scheme and make safeguarding referrals when required
  • Checking with kitchen staff if there are any issues that need escalation (remove this line completely)
  • Referring residents to support agencies when required and helping them access the different service available to them
  • Dealing with low level anti-social behavior complaints within the scheme and resolving resident disputes

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working with older people in a support capacity and understanding their individual needs or similar
  • Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Excellent knowledge of effective communication at all levels
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
