Community Support Worker, Wake and Watch , Burnley Pendle and Rossendale Domiciliary Service A

The Service supports people with learning/ physical disabilities in their own homes over 24hrs.
The Wake and Watch support worker role involves all aspects of support, including providing personal care, support with managing finance, administering medication and ensuring people's needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes.
The successful applicant will value others and have a person centred approach, supporting people with dignity and respect at all times.
We are recruiting a permanent part time Wake and Watch staff to provide overnight support for individuals who have learning disabilities and complex behaviour needs. Usual working hours will be 10pm until 8am and the role will include implementing the individual's night time support plan and other agreed activities. Successful candidates will be expected to be available to undertake training and team events, including probation, supervision and team meetings, during daytime working hours, for which payment is made.

Skills and Experience
Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential as you will be given the necessary support and training to undertake this role.
Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment will be required to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within the first 2 years of employment. Care Certificate training is also provided . Please note all training will be funded by the Service.
