The client is a well-established housing association based in Central London. Our client is currently a G15 member looking to add to their assets team. With over 66,000 homes in the portfolio, they put the residents needs at the centre of their mission. Due to being a leading Housing association in London there is plenty of opportunity for development and growth as a maintenance surveyor.

Job Description

The main responsibilities for the job are:

  • The maintenance surveyor will have to carry out pre and post inspections including detailed reports in order to spot any defects as well tendering for the works.
  • To work with-in budgets when regarding responsive repair works as well as making sure the repairs are viable.
  • To confidently identify and rectify damp and mould issues that arise with-in properties.
  • Manage your own workload to diagnose and manage property defects in order to make a difference and make the community safer.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful for the role the applicant will have to demonstrate:

  • Having strong communication skills when communicating clearly with the residents with the works that need to be carried out.
  • HNC in building surveying or relevant experience.
  • Experience in dealing with day to day and responsive repairs.
  • A strong desire to meet KPI's when regarding budget and time targets.
  • The ability to manage the contractors in order to ensure a high quality of work when repairs are being carried out.
  • A High attention to detail when writing reports to comply with any audits that are carried out.
  • A strong ability to be part of a team and work with the values that are in place from the organisation.
