An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Severn Edge Bridgnorth.

Are you an empathetic, well organised, energetic and fun animal lover? Already working within a veterinary practice as a care assistant and looking for a new opportunity? Our friendly, fun and supportive team at are looking for a patient care assistant to support our team during these busy times.

Must have a commitment to providing excellent patient care, GCSE's (or equivalent) in Maths, English & Science, grade C or above, be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, and experience with working with animals is preferred.

Hours are: 20 hours a week;

Thursday 4.30pm-10pm

Friday 4.30pm – 10pm

Saturday 8.30am-1pm

Sunday 10am-2.30pm

Main duties:

• Give nursing care to patients
• Assist vets and nurses in restraining animals for treatment
• Cleaning, walking and feeding of patients
• Preparation of emergency and operating facilities
• General cleaning and maintenance duties
• Running internal lab samples
• Answering phone calls
• Troubleshooting emergencies
• Serving clients and taking payments
• To provide a friendly, efficient and effective service to clients

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, a team worker, works to high standard, is organised, tidy, has a good manner and is polite with customers.

Salary in line with National Minimum Wage + 3% (pro rata)
