Personal Care Assistant Required in Macclesfield, SK10

£12.50 per hour

Up to 12 hours per week

J is a delightful 33-year-old who lives independently in Macclesfield. He is a full-time wheelchair user and depends on the use of a ceiling track hoist.

He has a great sense of humour and has a passion for film and theatre. He has a wealth of knowledge on this topic and has just obtained a Masters Degree from the University of Manchester on Film Studies. He has a First Class Honours degree in Theatre and Performance and is very interested in acting.

Hours & Pay Rate

£12.50 per hour

Late morning calls would be 4 mornings a week each 1 hour

Tea calls - 4 afternoons per week for 1 hour

Bed calls 4 evenings for 1 hour

Exact times and days can be flexible and any combination of these calls would be considered as more than one carer may be recruited.

Emergency & holiday cover may be required but this is rare.

Main Duties

All aspects of personal care & to get J dressed for the day.

He has a light breakfast and there may be light household duties Cooking tea required.

The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; there may be occasions where you are reasonably requested to provide additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.

Personal Assistant Specification

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.

Must have a great sense of humour, good personality, patience, kindness, be supportive and be flexible within their time.

Ideally we would like a PA who lives local to Macclesfield.

My assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.

My assistant must respect my privacy and always maintain my dignity.

My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.

You must be able to work well independently.

Supervision

My personal assistant is accountable to the employer in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
