As we are on the journey to become a standalone business, we are developing our own in-house Technology function to provide all technology services from back-office services, data processing and management to customer delivery. We have several Technology roles across Entreprise Architecture, Product Engineering, Digital Workplace, Cyber Security and Product Management.

To support the transformation in how we work and manage our cloud infrastructure, we are looking for an innovative Solutions Architect, with broad technical knowledge combined with strong business analysis skills. You should be also an excellent communicator, able to influence others, and happy to get hands dirty when problems arise. This role reports into the Senior Solution Architect.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver innovative solutions for business partners across the entire business, delivering against the technology strategy and transformation programs.
• Lead or support the development of solution architectures and their implementation including implementation strategies, migration plans and roadmaps
• Provide technical input across the project lifecycle from inception to completion of a development.
• Contribute to the procurement (RFI/RFP) of technology as needed.
• Keep yourself up to date with new and emerging technologies and their potential application for the technology team and wider business.

Your Profile

• Proven background in Solution Architecture (10 years+ experience) using the Azure and Microsoft technology stack.
• Demonstrable experience of working in an architecture team including the production of design documentation (HLDs, LLDs, blueprints, interface designs, data modelling etc.)
• Expert in designing and implementing solutions using the Azure technology stack with the ability to be hands-on when needed
• Confident communication and soft skills, able to influence business stakeholders and decision making.
• Ability to explain complex technical subject matter to business colleagues in a straightforward and effective way.
• Technologist at heart; curious and innovative; wants to make a difference; collaborative and team oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise

Technology skills and experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps CICD, PowerShell and Terraform
• Experience with: Azure Synapse, Databricks, API Manager, Application Gateway, Function Apps, Logic Apps, Azure Networking, Power BI, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Datalake Gen2, Deltalake, Data Factory, Event Hubs, Stream Analytics and more.
• Experience with Python, C#, Node.js and/or Java
• Experience with methodologies such as TOGAF and SAFe.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £56,731.56-£113,429.82 per year
