Are looking for your next exciting role? If so, NCR have the have the perfect opportunity for you on our team! As a Trunking Officer, you will be accountable for the safe and secure movement of cash and valuables between locations.

What are the key accountabilities of a Trunking Officer?

Secure and safe keeping of all cash and valuable assets entrusted to the role:

  • Branch reported discrepancies.
  • Vehicle audit.
  • Employee covert and overt observations.

Accurate recording and receipting of deliveries and collections:

  • Signed and completed receipting documentation returned to Team Leader.

Ensure roadworthiness and housekeeping of assigned vehicles, in accordance with the Highway Code and business work instructions:

  • Completion of Security, operational and vehicle documentation.
  • Vehicle and alarm weekly tests.
  • Completion of daily vehicle and security system checks.

Maintaining personal driving and working hours:

  • Monthly personal and vehicle downloads.
  • Weekly working hours recorded.
  • Adherence to FTA regulatory requirements for drivers’ of goods vehicles.

Maintain Health, Safety, security and loading regulations within your workplace:

  • Monthly branch managers’ self-audit.
  • Branch management teams’ daily compliance checks.

Follow prescribed route as directed by branch management team:

  • Completion of daily route.
  • Cencon audit.
  • GPS tracking.

Maintain personal security standards, retention of SIA and driving licensing:

  • SIA licensing checks.
  • DP20 mandate checks.
  • Tiger Kidnap training.

Routine and mandatory EDGE training as directed by the business:

  • Undertaking all relevant mandatory training required.

What would I need to succeed in the Trunking Officer role?

Candidates must be able to demonstrate they are trustworthy, responsible and have a methodical approach to work. In addition, we are also looking for:

  • Must be able to provide a continuous 10-year employment/education/ history (any gaps in employment history must be covered).
  • A valid SIA CIT licence is desirable, however this can also be obtained through our fully funded training programme.
  • A current and full UK driving licence, minimum of Class C entitlement on driving license.
  • CPC training for HGV
  • Flexible approach to working patterns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or lone working.
  • Security awareness.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.

Please note that due to the secure nature of our business all successful candidates will need to provide a ten year traceable work history (satisfactory employment references or evidence to explain employment gaps), complete a criminal record and credit background check, ensuring you declare any adverse history as this may affect your employment with NCR or any associated companies.

As a Trunking Officer, we can offer the following:

  • £37,000.00 per annum (Inclusive of a 4% monthly allowance)
  • Ability to work paid overtime as the business requires.
  • Working pattern will be any 5 days over 7.
  • Annual paid holiday entitlements of:
  • 5 over 7 working pattern - 32 days per calendar year (inclusive of 8 public/bank holidays).
